An online business means long hours infront of the computer. One morning one of the monitor gave up, may be due to the long hours it is on. Anyway it is now in the repair shop. Hopefully it will not cost a lot to repair, else better to get a new one. Just checked, a new monitor, 15 inch is about RM300/ to RM350/. Decision will wait for the repair cost first.
This is the second week of our Hari Raya sales and this will be on till Hari Raya. This is another two week from now, so people take advantage of this sales and free delivery for purchase above RM100/.
The work on the ecommerce site is still on going. Completed all uploading of the Korean fashion Jewelry. Now the rest is in progress. Just that the inbuilt thumbnail program makes the thumbnail picture looks faded in color. So we need to do something to the original image like "framming" the picture with a black frame like those in cross stitch collection. Well it is finally done.

Getting Attention.
The website is built, hosted and what next. Well it is attention or traffic, getting visitors to come to visit your site and to know what you are offering. It is no difference for us.
The formula is very simple. Visitors to the site equal to potential customers. Not like a traditional brick and motar shop, customers don't just walk in to a website. They have to be found, invite to come.
We do spent a considerable effort in this. We have email invitation, banner advertisement and as well as advertisement in print. The results, traffic to not pour in but trickle in. Amount the various advertisement tried, email invitation and print advertisement has the most potential. However email invitation is no easy stuff but lots of work, long hours and taxing too. However the reward is to see your visitors increasing, list members increasing and the encouragment that visitors gave.

An Update
Shopping cart facility is still in progress. As of yesterday the uploading of the products for ladies is completed. The uploading process is slow as it had to be carried out one by one. We plan to just upload all the products first, touch up on any one that needs to be touch up and finally follow up with placing of the prices and the descriptions. So that's why is a slow process.
Recently we added advertisement to our front, FAQ, about us and contact us page. The company is offering pay per click type of advertisement. This mean each time someone click on the banner you will be paid. The rate is calculated basing on the number of displays and how many displays are clicked. For 1 click per 26 views the rate is about 19 US cents. Not to bad. It is very easy to join and they recently accept webmasters from Malaysia.
Well if you have a website you can consider this as an extra revenue stream for you. You can check out the company adhearus

Our new fling ....
We are in the progress of implementing shopping cart facilities. We realized that as out product items increases, there is a limit where our present ordering system can cope and that include us too.
There are a few local webhosting with ecommerce facilities but we found one company offering a splendid valued package. This company is MIMOP.COM. So we signed up and bought an ecommerce package. One reason we wanted a local presence is support. Thus far it is great and no worries about time zones. we will share more of this as we progress along.
We are using a new URL for our implementation as we do not want to disrupt our present hosting at myfancyshop.com. The new URL is http://www.mymultimedia.net/ . Once we completed the implementation ( We can see that this is not that soon as there are lots of work ahead) we will put a link in our main page of myfancyshop.com. Beside having shopping cart facilities we will also be able to accept credit card payment. Thus we hope that all these will made it easy and convinient for our customers.
