Our SOHO pictures
Decided to take some pictures of our home office. Here is a picture of my work area.
and here is the picture of my partner area.
Her area is behind mine and seperated by a long table (That's the table with the black file at the lower left corner). Do note the fidge near by as this place used to be our dinning area. Off course setting up near the fridge has numerous advantages. For instance if it is hot , just open the fridge door for cooling..ha..ha... Well that's just one of the benefits/advantages.

Being Comfortable but not too...
Our home business is home based which means our operation is from our home. Beside acquiring the neccessary equipment, selecting the location for our home office is also important. We are fortunate that we can make use of our dinning room. Once the place is selected, the next thing is the setting up process. This includes planning the layout of the office furntures, equipment, telepphone line, etc. At this stage try to accomodate the office layout to the exisiting space so as to minimise or even do away with renovation works. We also try to us what exisiting furnitures we had and only resorting to buying what is neccessary.
When the setting up is completed, we try to make our working space as comfortable (but not too) as possible. This is important as we expect to spent a lot of time there. Another point to take note is do take into consideration the ease of cleaning the work area. We do not pack every thing tightly but with gabs and use movable furnishing eg computer tables inorder for easy cleaning of the floor areas. We use vacuum and occassionally floor mob for our cleaning.
